Once the Davis tools to correct perception have been established then the next step is to work with the client to deal with those things that triggered the disorientation in the first place. Typically, this will include work on alphabet, punctuation symbols, trigger words and possibly other areas such as numbers. The client masters trigger words by making models of them in clay, discussing the meaning of the word and making a model of that meaning, together with the word itself. The client will also learn the Davis 3-steps to easier reading strategies.
The combination of accurate perception and the elimination of confusion leads to improvements in areas such as reading, spelling, handwriting and, most importantly, self esteem and confidence. |

If you have the patience and empathy to work with a loved one, you can purchase a Davis Home Use kit. This kit gives you everything you need to work with someone as described in the book "The Gift of Dyslexia". It is not for use in a business setting.

Each kit provides all materials needed to follow the Davis Dyslexia program as outlined in the included book, The Gift of Dyslexia, by Ronald Davis (2010 Revised and Expanded Edition).
Note: Do you already have a copy of the "The Gift of Dyslexia"? We consider this book essential to understanding and applying the Davis methods, but if you already have the 2010 edition of the book (blue cover), you may choose to substitute "The Gift of Learning" instead.
Each kit comes with a sturdy nylon bag and includes the following materials:
Working with more than one child? Consider buying extra clay or Woosh balls. We recommend 1kg of clay ($18.40) for each child, and an extra set of Woosh balls ($17.25 per pair) if you are working with 3 or more children.
